CAD DRAFTER

Job Responsibilities:

 

•Create plans, sections, elevations, and details for various projects.

•Actively communicates progress, and schedule implications to the drafting team.

•Will make shop manufacturable drawings for bending, material cutting and fabrication,

as well as assembly.

•Will print and collate drawings to send out to the shop floor.

•Some drawings with be from scratch, while others will be modifications of existing

drawings.

•Maintains files and documentation per department protocols.

•Ability to work in a collaborative environment to develop innovative solutions.

•Work with engineering team to create fabrication drawings for manufacturing

•Work with engineering team to create construction shop drawings

•Follow all established safety procedures

•Other duties as assigned and other support functions as required.

 

Qualifications Preferred:

•Fabrication shop knowledge

•Be self-reliant and able to operate independently.

•Ability to ask for additional direction and assistance when needed

•Detail oriented

•Able to work in stressful situations and with critical deadlines

•Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

•Knowledge of and ability to read and understand blueprints, codes, scales and specs

•Team oriented

•Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite–Excel, Word, Outlook

•Basic math abilities Minimum Requirements The ideal candidate for this position will have at least 1+ years on the job experience, trade school or a college degree in CAD related field.

•Associate or Bachelors in Draft Design or Engineering

•No certifications required but helpful

•Must meet background check and drug test requirements.
