About Temple Temps

Nan Vaden opened Temple Temps in August 1995. Nan and her husband, Jim, seeing a need in the community, started a temp agency to offer help to both individuals needing employment and to the businesses needing employees.

An active member of Temple’s Chamber of Commerce as Chamber Board Director, Committee Chair for Business After Hours and Committee Chair for Red Carpet Ambassadors, Nan noticed that Temple had talent without opportunity and means to make that talent available. Because of her connections with local businesses, she got to work putting people to work! Her untiring commitment to Temple turned out to benefit both the city and its residents.

Determined to “keep it local,” Nan focused on creating a business with a long-lasting impact as well as an economical one. Morphing her company into a family business ensured both. Her daughter, Valerie Vaden Jarosek, started working at Temple Temps in 2000. She started learning how to place people, moved to recruiting businesses for our employees and eventually grew to office manager. Her commitment soon solidified as she watched her mother improve our community, one hire at a time.

Nan passed away in May 2014 and her husband, Jim, followed in January 2016. Now, Valerie has picked up the torch and carries on the legacy that Nan worked so hard to build. She is both owner and operator of Nan’s vision to enhance the great city of Temple. Daily, citizens come in to complete applications. Just as Nan knew, the talent is here. We continue to place that talent in the businesses of Temple and surrounding areas.

To honor Nan and her dedication, feel free to contact us with inquiries about employment AND staffing. We are your temporary help service!
